She was born March 3, 1936 in Troy, New York. She moved from Guilderland, New York to Vero Beach in 2006 and a few years later settled in Spring Hill. She was a business owner in the cosmetology field and Lutheran by faith.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Mikkelsen and her sons, Donald Brown and Mark Brown. She is survived by her son, Scott Brown of Spring Hill, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy & Robert Fahy of Boynton Beach, Florida; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a charitable donation to the Hernando County SPCA Animal Shelter.
