

KIMBROUGH, Clint, 83, of Deep Gap, North Carolina, passed away peacefully May 24, 2016 in Boone, North Carolina, after an extended illness. Born in Brooksville, Florida, November 14, 1932, he was preceded in death by his parents Pierce and Margaret Kimbrough and Dolores Hancock Kimbrough the mother of his children. An ordained minister of the Baptist faith, he was a graduate of Stetson University and Southwestern Theological Seminary. He served on the Foreign Mission field as a music missionary in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for some 24 years before retiring to North Carolina. He was an accomplished musician and was passionate about spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is survived by three children: Margaret Leigh Shipman (Dan) of Sugar Land, Texas, Dr. Robert Lane Kimbrough (Linda) of San Antonio, Texas and Carol Leslie Kimbrough of Birmingham, Alabama; brothers: Jim and Bob Kimbrough; sister: Martha Carol Brown; 5 grandchildren: Sherah and Micah Shipman and Kevin, John and Carl Kimbrough. There will be a private memorial service at a later date.
