HERCEG, David, age 57 of Masaryktown, FL died Tues., Nov. 2, 2004. Born in Endicott, NY he came here 6 years ago from DeBary, FL. He was retired from the U.S. Navy, a member of the VFW, American Legion, DAV, Fleet Reserve, Navy Enlisted Reserve Association, an Eagle Scout and a member of St. Mary' s and St. Anthony's Catholic Churches of Brooksville, FL.Survivors include his Wife: Barbara; Sons: Eric J. Herceg of Deltona, FL and Steven David Cooksey of McKinney, TX; Daughter: Samantha Herceg Mascunana of Savannah, GA; Mother: Helen Herceg Elligett of Masaryktown, FL; Brothers: James Herceg of Woodbridge, VA and Richard Herceg of Kennesaw, GA; 5 Grandchildren.Visitation for friends will be 4-6pm, Sun., Nov. 7, 2004 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksvile Chapel, with a Wake service to begin at 5:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:00am, Mon., Nov. 8, 2004 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Masaryktown, FL with Father James A. Bucaria officiating. Interment will follow at the Fla. National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Hernando-Pasco Hospice or St. Mary's Catholic Church.
