
He grew up in Montrose by his beloved Hudson River. After graduating from Hendrick Hudson High School he enlisted in the USAF and served four years stateside and in Greece. In June 1966 he and Janet were married. He attended college and graduated with a BS in Speech Pathology from SUNY at Albany. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from USF. He worked for 35 years with the Hillsborough County School System, retiring as an area supervisor for staffing in Special Education.
Dennis loved his family, vintage cars and reading archeology magazines and visiting sites when traveling. Before cell phones if you needed to get in touch with him he could be found in a local pool hall or golf course. His claim to fame was scoring a hole in one.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janet and his children, Dennis Jr., and Sarah Babicek (Randy); sister, Rita Butler; brothers-in-law, Robert Hayes and William Atwood; sisters-in-law, Ruth Lyman, Diane Hardos (John), and Lois Kroupa; many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, January 25, 2020 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 2301 Deltona Blvd., Spring Hill, Florida. Family will receive and host a reception after the Service in the parish hall.

St Andrew's Episcopal Church, or a charity of your choice.
