RAINES, Dennis William “Caveman,” 60, of Cleveland, MS passed away Friday, June 27, 2014 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Mr. Raines was born on December 19, 1953 to Merlin Edwin and Darlene H. Raines. He was a graduate of Hernando High School, Class of 1972, then went on to Delta State College in Mississippi where he played football. He married Marion Frances Horrigan on December 19, 1978. He was a member of the Delta Classic Car Club and the Delta State Sports Hall of Fame. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Randy Raines. Mr. Raines is survived by his wife: Marion Raines; daughters: Christen Raines Griffin; Lindsey Raines; granddaughter: Katie Raines, all of Cleveland, MS; brothers: Chuck (Flossie) Raines of Brooksville, FL; Mike (Linn) Neal of Iowa; sister-in-law: Carla Raines of White Cloud, MI; 3 nieces and 4 nephews. Funeral services were held in Mississippi.
