Edward Charles Leber

LEBER, Edward C., age 67 of Brooksville (Highpoint) passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012 at HPH Hospice Care Center in Brooksville. Edward was a “snowbird” for 7 years prior to moving here 2 months ago from his native Philadephia, PA. He retired after 33 ½ years with the City of Philadelphia Fire Department and was a US Army Veteran. He also was a member of the American Legion Post #186 and American Legion in PA, the Retired Police & Firefighters Association, member of Firefighters Union Local 22 and St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer, loved bingo, playing poke and watching and playing baseball & bowling and at one time was on a bowling league. He is survived by his wife: Patricia; son and daughter-in-law: Edward & Mary Frances Leber of Philadelphia; brothers and sisters-in-law: Fred & Barbara Leber, Jr., Robert & Catherine Leber & Kenneth & Margaret Leber, all of Philadelphia and Ernest & Charlotte Leber of Berlin, NJ; sister: Ellen Wiggins of Brooksville; brother-in-law: Kevin Whalen of Brooksville and grandchildren: Jude Edward Leber and Christian Sexton Ricco, both of Philadelphia. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and/or HPH Hospice.
