He was born June 9, 1940 in Dehue, West Virginia and came to Brooksville 58 years ago. He worked as a purchasing agent for Brooksville Rock formerly known as Florida Crushed Stone. He was a member of Eden Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sons, Ricky Frye and Brian Frye, both of Brooksville, Florida; daughter, Kimberly Lashley of Brooksville, Florida; brother, Danny Frye of North Carolina; sister, Loretta Hager of Virginia; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A Gathering for family and friends will be held at Eden Baptist Church from 4:00-5:00pm, Monday, August 19, 2019, where a Memorial Service will take place at 5:00pm, with Reverend Damont Drake and Reverend Larry Strickland officiating.
