Georgia "Irene" Burris

She was born February 22, 1930 in St. Clair County, Alabama and came to Brooksville 44 years ago from Bartow, Florida prior to living in Arkansas.  She was the former owner of Burris Printing and a member of First Baptist Church of Brooksville.  She loved crafting, sewing, making cards, and was a fantastic cook.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, William M. Burris and her son, Brad Burris.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mona & Curtis Fisher of Brooksville, Florida; grandsons, Michael Burris (Jessica) and Christopher Burris (Nicole); and great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Burris, Edward Burris, Brenna Burris, Grace Burris, and Addison Burris.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00-10:30am, Friday, October 2, 2020 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, where Funeral Services begin at 10:30am, with Pastor Jerry Pence officiating.  Burial will follow at Lake Lindsey Cemetery.

Florida Baptist Children’s Home or International Orthodox Christian Charities.
