Born November 26, 1928 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Ralph and Anna (Hatton) Boyer. He came to Brooksville 25 years ago from Marion, Indiana. He served in the United States Air Force and was a Minister of Music. He was a member of Brooksville Wesleyan Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Nancy Fenstermacher. He is survived by his loving wife, Evon Boyer; son and daughter-in-law, Todd & Lisa Kooyer of San Antonio, Texas; daughters, Sharon Reed-Jacobs of Franklin, Tennessee and Brenda Thompson of Indianapolis, Indiana; brothers, R. Eugene Boyer of France, Gerald W. Boyer of Emmaus, Pennsylvania, and David R. Boyer of The Villages, Florida; sister, Betty J. Pinkernell of York, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Kyle (Kelly) and Charity.
