HAMMOND, Homer G., age 83 of Spring Hill passed away Sun., May 2, 2010 at HPH Hospice Care Center in Brooksville. Born in Coopers Plains, NY he came to this area 30 years ago from Hubert, NC. He retired from the US Marine Corp, was a member of the Friendship Force, a Salvation Army Volunteer and Protestant. Survivors include his wife: Margaret ?Peggy? A. Hammond; son: Gary L. Hammond of Brooksville; daughter: Eileen G. Hammond of Weeki Wachee and 1 grandchild. A memorial service will be conducted 10am Mon., May 10, 2010 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
