He was born February 19, 1931 in Cambridge, Vermont and came to this area in 22 years ago from Dunedin, Florida. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was the owner and operator of a lawn and garden retail company and a parishioner of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his son, Randall Bennett and brothers, Bert Bennett and William "Junior" Bennett. He is survived by his wife of 65 years: Janice R. Bennett; son: Barry Bennett of Palm Harbor, Florida; daughters: Cheryl Goodnow of Loveland, Colorado, Cindy Goodenow of Colchester, Vermont and Darla Senecal of Bristol, Vermont; sister: Edith Lamphear of Vermont; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Thursday, November 8, 2018 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill, Florida.
