He was born November 12, 1923 in Otterville, Canada and came to Brooksville 29 years ago from Ann Arbor, Michigan. He proudly served his country and was a veteran of the United States Navy and the Army. He was a mechanical engineer for Ford Motor Company for many years and was a member of Mariner United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his son, James Abbey of Charlevoix, Michigan; his daughter, Barbara Joy Wilson of Brooksville, Florida; five grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two of his sons.
