I wanted to say a few things about my Uncle Jim that my mom, Uncle Bob, and Uncle Danny have shared with me:Uncle Jim NEVER turned down someone who could not afford to pay for a meal in his Restaurant. He always made sure everyone had food to eat, whether they could pay or not. When we would eat there he always insisted that we not pay and my mom and dad would insist on paying. Pretty sure Uncle Jim prevailed most of the time. My mom worked for him in high school and he taught her many things. My Uncle Bob was quick to tell everyone that he had the BEST brother there ever was~Uncle Jim.  When I was young we always had Thanksgiving at Uncle Jim and Aunt Mickey's home. On Christmas we would rotate~either at mom's or Uncle Bob's. Uncle Danny was the baby~17 years difference between Uncle Jim and him but they stayed close. Uncle Jim was the one they all looked up to, even as adults. He was the rock that held everyone together and we will miss him dearly. Uncle Jim was named after his grandfather on his father's side. He gave Uncle Bob his nickname, as there was only 14 months difference in their ages and he couldn't pronounce Ernest. He was an Army Paratrooper in World War II in the 82nd Airborne and was promoted to Sargent while in the service. Both my Uncle Bob and Uncle Danny followed him into service in the Marines. Bob as a mechanic because his eyesight was not good enough to do what he wanted~to be a "Gunny" and Uncle Danny was a Medic. Sadly both predeceased him. Bob on 12/22/2006 and Danny on 5/28/2010. He missed them dearly but he missed Aunt Mickey the most. He is now with them all, rejoicing in Heaven and will continue to live on through all of us that loved him. Thank you Uncle Jim for all that you taught us and for how much you loved  all of us. I still feel your love and hold you dearly in my heart.~Luanna

To Spencer family, thinking of all at this time of loss, may God surround you with his strength and love. Jim was a very good friend so many years ago, his kindness will always be remembered.

To my loving brother, Jim, I will always love you and will miss you. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten.

No words can express how much you meant to our family. You will be missed and I love you. Rest in Peace.

To all the Spencer family I send my condolences. Mr. Spencer was a great guy and he will surely be missed. I feel your sadness but rejoice in knowing he is pain free and in a better place. My prayer is that we all one day will be reunited in that glorious place.

Jimmy, Di, Seth , Hannah and family, My family and I are sad to hear of the loss of such a special person in your life. We are sending our love, thoughts and prayers to you all.
