John C. Piermatteo

He was born November 26, 1961 in Allentown, Pennsylvania and came to Brooksville 39 years ago from Leesburg, Florida.  He worked as a powerplant operator for Florida Crushed Stone and was Lutheran by faith.  John was a beloved son, father and grandfather, who had a heart of gold, always helping anyone in need.  He loved tinkering and was a real "Mr. Fix-it," generous with his skills and his time, whether for himself or for others.  

He is survived by his sons, Lee Piermatteo and Wayne Piermatteo of Brooksville, Florida; his father and mother, Joe & Jean Piermatteo of Brooksville, Florida; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike & Donna Piermatteo of Riverview, Florida and Steve & Jessica Piermatteo of Brooksville, Florida; sisters and brother-in-law, Lori Veith of Leesburg, Florida and Kris & Clay Clements of Brooksville, Florida; grandchildren, Vance, Cason, Blayne, Alex, Anthony, Micah and Elijah; ex-wife, Chris Piermatteo of Brooksville, Florida.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in John's honor to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
