He was born October 26, 1955 in Bayshore, New York and came to Brooksville 18 years ago from Northport, New York. He was co-owner of D. Anderson Company, a floral and orchid business. He loved gardening and plants were his passion. He was Catholic by faith.
He is preceded in death by his partner, Daniel Anderson and his parents, Robert Schandel and Mary (Derham) Schandel. He is survived by his brothers, Robert Schandel and Edward Schandel; his sisters, Lorraine Wynohradnyk and Theresa Candela; niece, Lynn and nephews, Nick, Adam, Mike and Matt.
