SPELL, John Otto, age 69, of Masaryktown, FL died Monday, March 10, 2014. He was born in Swainsboro, Georgia and came to the area over 40 years ago. He was employed as a truck driver with Florida Rock and was a Baptist by faith. He enjoyed fishing and he was a builder, inventor and a carpenter. He is survived by daughters: Frankie Bailey of Myakka, FL; Tracey Lewis of Bradenton, FL; brother: Jim Spell of Polk City, FL; sister: Louise McGee of Brooksville, FL; 3 grandchildren, Nathan Lewis, Kinley Kiernan and Sara Bailey. Visitation for friends will be 10-10:30am, Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Merritt Funeral Home Brooksville Chapel with funeral services beginning at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Brooksville Cemetery.
