Justin Charles Mahaney

MAHANEY, Justin C., age 22 of Hernando Beach passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013. Born in Orlando, FL he was a lifelong resident of Hernando County. He was the owner/operator of a lawn care business and loved everything in life such as scuba diving, fishing and vacationing. Justin was a TRUE “people person”, a jack of all trades. Tho he had his own business, he also helped his family at their pool construction business, Fantasy Pools in Hudson. A true extrovert, he was friendly and commanded attention when he entered a room. He would do anything to help someone else and was nicked name “J Man”. An avid football player, as a child he wanted to be a professional ball player. His favorite saying: “I do what I want”! Survivors include his parents: Darren & Martha Mahaney of Hernando Beach; paternal grandparents: Charles & Ellen Mahaney of Grosse Ile, MI; maternal grandparents: Henry Collins of Melvindale, MI and Donna Jones of Hernando Beach; brothers & sister-in-law: James P. & Christian Calder of Parrish, FL and Alexander Mahaney of Hernando Beach; sister: Michelle Mahaney of Hernando Beach and 2 nieces: Ava & Arabella Calder of Parrish, FL. Visitation for friends will be 2-4 & 6-9pm Friday, January 18, 2013 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel.  A funeral mass will be 12:00pm Saturday, January 19, 2013 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens, Spring Hill, FL. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the family.
