

LAMB, Lois Lorentz, 86, died Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at her home. She was born in Lake Geneva, WI and came to the area 24 years ago from St. Petersburg, FL. She was a President of the National Honor Society and graduated high school Summa Cum Laude. Lois was the wife of a U.S. Coast Guard Officer who served internationally, she was a Red Cross Grey Lady, a PTA volunteer who was instrumental in getting the Pinellas County School Board to install air conditioning in all classrooms, a long time member of Pasadena Presbyterian Church in St. Petersburg, and served as Elder, Deacon, President of the Women of the Church, Sunday School Teacher and as Deacon of Grace Presbyterian Church in Spring Hill. Lois enjoyed square dancing, sailing, swimming, playing Rook and Dominos.
Lois was predeceased by her brothers and sisters: Samuel Lorentz, Ray Lorentz, Joyce Salzmann and Elaine Givens, she is survived by daughters and son-in-law: Sandra Bean of Dallas, TX; Karen Elliott of Spring Hill, FL; Lois, ”Loie” Lamb of Irving, TX; Edie and Steve Powell of Coppell, TX; 9 grandchildren and their spouses: Steve (Maryn) Taylor; Shannon (Jeremy) Barnett; Chad Zuber; Missy Nedimeyer; Glenda (Jimmy) Williams; Tim (Lia) Noland; Robin Jon “Deuce” (Amy) Honeycutt II; Rebecca (Andy) Gipson; Paul Honeycutt; 17 great-grandchildren: Noah Taylor; Joshua Taylor; Chloe Spellicy; Justin Barnett; Tatum Barnett; Ashley Zuber; Amber Zuber; Chase Zuber; Zach Nedimeyer; Bishop Noland; Liam Noland; Whitley Honeycutt; Tyler Honeycutt; Avery Honeycutt; Sarah Honeycutt-Aguirre; Elora Gipson; Jude Gipson; 1 great-great-grandchild: Myla Zuber; multiple nieces and nephews and their children. She was a loving and beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00-7:00pm, Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel, where services will begin at 7:00pm, with Reverend Kaaren Nesmith officiating.
