Mabel Lucille McAfee, 94, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at the Hospice Care Center, Spring Hill, Florida. Born January 29, 1926 in Fairview, West Virginia. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a member of the Northwest Tampa Church of Christ.Upon graduating from Catherman’s Business College she moved to Arlington, Virginia where she worked for the Department of Defense Intelligence Agency. Later, after she and her husband moved to Cumberland, Maryland, she worked as an assistant supervisor in the data processing department of Sacred Heart Hospital. She and her husband moved to Spring Hill 34 years ago and both became volunteers at Oak Hill Hospital where she served for 10 years.She was preceded in death by her parents James B Williams and Celesta Olive Williams; her husband of 49 years, Ellsworth John McAfee II; her son, Ellsworth John McAfee III; brothers, Lincoln Burl Williams, Gerald Dee Williams, James Everett Williams, William Richard Williams; sisters, Amanda Ellen Gump, Sudie Mae Smith, Mary Elizabeth Henderson, Betty Catherine Lyons, Roxie Phyllis Tennant, and Doris Jane Wheeler.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Jesse Thomas of Spring Hill, Florida, daughter- in- law, Sherry McAfee of Massillon, Ohio and brother, Fred Wayne Williams of Fairview, West Virginia. She is also survived by six grandchildren; Drew Thomas, John McAfee, William McAfee, Tara Ferlita, Trisha Quarto, Kelly Haer, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A graveside memorial service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Cumberland, Maryland, June 27th, at 11:00am.
