Margaret Gambill

Margaret Louise Gambill, age 70, of Brooksville, FL passed away Wednesday, December 1st, 2021.  She is survived by her children: Stacy (Edward) Wright, Chad (Bukurije) Gambill; husband: Paul Wayne Gambill; mother: Annalouise Maria (Runge) Watkins; brother, Heinz (Becky) Watkins, Gary (Shari) Watkins, Tim (Susan) Watkins, Edward (Lisa) Watkins, sister: Tina (Rob) Iannone; grandchildren: Lauren, Christian, and Gunnar.

Preceding her in death was her father, Joel R. Watkins, sister, Lisa Watkins Harris, paternal grandparents, Joel H. & Cecile Watkins, maternal grandparents, Heinrich and Paula Runge.

Margaret grew up in Daytona Beach, FL where she attended Mainland High school.  After high school, she attended Gulf Coast Bible College in Houston, Texas where she met her husband, Wayne. They moved to Clearwater, FL where they raised their children.

Margaret was always very proud of her German heritage. She really enjoyed traveling to Germany with her mother and being able to share that experience with her and her daughter. 

Margaret especially enjoyed watching her son and grandson play baseball. Her family spent many happy times throughout the years at the baseball fields. She also loved playing softball and was part of softball league in Clearwater. 

Margaret loved all things outdoors. Whether it was working on landscaping projects, walking on the beach, playing with her dogs, or tending to her chickens, this is where she was the happiest. 

Margaret loved being involved with her church, where she spent time with her church family and enjoyed singing in the choir. Margaret was passionate about helping those in need. A cause dear to her heart was the Jericho-Road Ministries in Brooksville, FL.

Margaret was a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, grandmother (Omi) and friend to so many. She is greatly missed. We will miss your smile, your laugh and your tenacity to never give up!

Visitation for friends will be 10-11am, Friday, December 10, 2021, at Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 200 Mount Fair Avenue Brooksville, FL 34601, where funeral services will begin at 11:00am with Pastor David Franklin officiating. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jericho Road Ministries.
