Michael Lee Chancey

Michael Lee Chancey, 67, of Weeki Wachee, FL was born on June 15, 1958, and passed away on May 17, 2026. Throughout his life, Michael was known as a man who met each day with steady dedication—someone whose hard work spoke quietly but clearly in the way he showed up for those around him.

Michael found genuine enjoyment in the simple, enduring pleasures of time outdoors and time well spent with others. He loved hunting and fishing, and he especially valued being with family and friends—moments of companionship that reflected what mattered most to him.

He is survived by his children, Tanya (Will), Lisa (Don), Michael (Melissa), Michelle (Daniel), and Tiffany (Curtis). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Keaton (Robin), Joseph, Peyton, Jazlyn, Levi, Hunter, Willy, Kinsleigh, Caileb, Remi, and Gannon. Michael is further survived by his siblings, Alan (Rhonda), Ronnie (Jeanne), Donna (David), Nin (Larry), Rick (Robin), and Amy.

Michael is preceded in passing by his father, Curtis "Pop" and his mother, Colene, as well as his brother Charlie.

A Gathering for family and friends will be held from 10:00-11:00am, Friday, May 22, 2026 at Stable Faith Cowboy Church (12077 North Broad Street, Brooksville, FL 34601), where Services begin at 11:00am.
