Our deepest condolences... for our friend of over 55 years...So glad I got to talk to you the week before, I arrived in FLA the day you passed, was looking forward to seeing you … Al and I will miss your humor and your love of Rods,Country music and  Jamoree in the Hills... that was fun... Rich, I am so sorry that we did not get to know you very well. We knew about your mechanical abilities just by the amazing truck that you drove..  Most importantly, you made our dear friend Jamie very happy. Rich u made my mom so happy...the way her eyes would light up when u were around and the smile u put on her face..i thank u for being a great stepdad to me and james ..even thou u wernt married to my mom but to us u were our step dad and me and james were honored to have met and loved u as our stepdad..hell u were better than our real dad...u left us too soon rich u will always and forever be missed...love u rich' tell ur brother hi for us........we will see u soon enuff but for now theres a life we gotta live...till we see u again

Rich u were the best...words cant describe what u ment to my family...u ment the world to my mom' u ment alot to my brother and i..u sir was a great step dad to james and i..u didnt judge and u accepted us for who we are and that ment the world to us...u always brought a smile to my mothers face and kept her so happy and for that i thank u...i know ur with ur brother now and im happy for that and maybe im being selfish but u left us too soon...i know we will see u again love u rich ..bye for now and say hi to ur brother for me

The last 2 weeks of his life, my Mom Jamie Zamora never left his side. She was with Rich the past 12 years,& was there to hug him 1 last time before he crossed from this world to the next. He was 1 of the most amazing men I’ve ever known. He made my Mom the happiest I’ve ever seen her, & made my life better knowing him. I will miss u SO much, Rich! Thank u for bringing so much happiness to my Mom,& those that loved u the most. U will be greatly missed, my friend.❤️

Rich was a unbelievable brilliant man when it came to mechanics. I used to call him my MacGyver, he could fix anything. He was tough with his New York attitude but also loving. His family and friends were everything to him. He loved his grandchildren and was very proud.  I was his partner/girlfriend of eleven years. I gave him unconditional love that he long for. My room light up when he walked in. I had the most respect for him and maybe even idolized him. He would make funny facial expressions and talked like a sailor you wouldn't expect from a man of his age. He worked hard, told life stories, young at heart, remembered where everything was and everyone. My heart is broken my best friend is gone. I was still on watch, you weren't suppose to go! You will always be in my heart. I will always be Duryea's Girl. I love you baby
