Ms. Fair was my teacher and a role model for many from my generation. We will always remember her lifelong commitement to God and his works and her legacy of ethics and morals exhibited throughout her lifetime. God bless and our prayers are with her surviving relatives.  There is a celebration in heaven today, flagraising has taken place, NO PDA! and without any parents honking their horns in the parking lot.  We will never forget you!!! Love always.

I met her in 1975, when I arrived at Wesleyan Academy to kindergarten.  She used to tell the story that one morning, while she was looking through her Director''s office window she saw me arriving.  I was maybe 6 years old, opened my bag and put inside the bouquet of flowers.  I was bringing flowers to my teacher, but wanted to go unnoticed.  Once I got to a secure are, I got the flowers out and gave them to my teacher. My encounters with Ms. Fair were various.  I visited her office on numerous occasions, if you know what I mean.In High School she gave me various classes.  She taught me PR history in English, but she knew more about my country than many Puerto Ricans.  She took us on many field trips and we had to keep up to her because, at her age, she could outwalk and outrun us.    Sometime close to 1984 she noticed I loved rock music. She approached me and told me, "Julio, I''ve noticed you like rock music.  I''m going to present to you a music club where you can buy Christian rock music". Ms. Fair offering me Christian rock music?  So, I took up her offer and subscribed to the music club, ordered my first Christian rock LPs, and my life was never the same.During the 50th Wesleyan Academy anniversary I shared with her and introduced her to my wife and kids.  I told her I was a Pastor.  She was surprised and gestured me to approach her more closely.  I did.  When I was close enough she pulled my ear (the one with the two earrings) and told me in her peculiar tone of voice, "And what''s a Pastor doing with two earrings?"  We both laughed and she simply said, "But you''re alright, Julio". People like her mark our lives.  Maybe during that time we didn''t understand her approach, but that''s part of being young.  I thank God for Ms. Fair --her discipline, her oldness, her teachings, her openness, her peculiar tone of voice.  I know up there maybe she is bossing around God...and the angels trying to keep up with her. 

“A teacher''s purpose is not to create students in his own image, but to develop students who can create their own image.” As Julio said before, Ms. Fair inspired us in different ways, we come to realize there will always be rocks in the road ahead of us or they could be stepping stones; it all depends on how we use them. Thank you Ms Fair for giving us our stepping stones to who we are. May she rest in peace.

Who could forget Greek mythology and the course in the Book of Revelation she taught? I sure didn''t, for she was a wonderful educator and an incomparable servant of our Lord. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends. May God bless her in he journey to her eternal Home.

I''m grateful for the impact that Roberta Fair had on my life and ministry.  She was faithful to her calling and consistent in her walk.

We have truly lost a Wesleyan Warrior!!! Her entire life reflected Colossians 3:23-24. "Work hard and cheerfully at all you do, just as though you were working for the Lord and not merely for your masters, remembering that it is the Lord Christ who is going to pay you, giving you your full portion of all He owns." Borrowing a phrase of our District Superintendent, Rev. Benjamin Galarce; Miss Fair, you were always a "Model of His Character; a Minister of His Grace; and a Messenger of His Love." Yes, you indeed earned your full portion of all He owns! Your legacy will forever live on through the lives of all of the Wesleyan Academy students who were blessed to know you!

Miss Fair touched a lot of lives during her tenure at Wesleyan Academy. She will always be fondly remembered by each of us who were students there. The sound of her coming down the hall will forever be etched in my memory. She was a great educator and servant!

MISS FAIR HAD A HEART OF GOLD, BUT SHE COULD KNOCK YOU OUT COLD WITH ONE TO THE CHIN IF YOU DIDN''T BEHAVE. OF COURSE SHE NEVER DID. SHE WAS A HEROE TO HUNDREDS. SHE WAS OUR PRINCIPAL BUT  ALSO OUR FRIEND.THANK YOU MISS FAIR FOR INVESTING YOUR LIFE TO THE PEOPLE OF PUERTO RICO AND FOR BECOMING AN ADOPTED PUERTORRIQUENA.TE AMAMOS!!!

Miss Fair was very special to all of us who had the honor of being her student.  She was an excellent principal and teacher.  Always leading by example, her neverending energy was contagious.  She taught us to love Puerto Rico and learn about our history.  She actually knew more about it than many Puerto Ricans!  The last time I saw her was in May 2006, when Wesleyan Academy was celebrating its 50th anniversary.  I was so glad to see her.  She expressed how proud she was of my professional and personal achievements.  I hope she knew she was a part of them.  We will remember her always.  With lots of love, Miriam

Ms. Fair was both the principal & English Teacher for me. I truly enjoyed her Mythology Class even if we had to endure daily quizzes I learned alot!! I will forever carry her in my heart. RIP

There is a blessed celebration in heaven today and MIss Fair is rejoicing with her Lord.  She served God well and faithfully. I am thankful for her ministry.

Ms. Fair was a wonderful Christian example for me!  Even though I was only at Wesleyan Academy for my senior year, she was one person I will always be glad I met.  I fondly remember our trip to Disneyworld and her Mythology class!  Heaven has received a very loyal servant!  God bless you Ms. Fair!

What an incredible women and a legacy to a group of kids that will always revere her with great respect. What I loved about Ms. Fair was that she was cutting edge in thinking outside of the box in an environment of strict religious upbringing. She never got worked up with staying inside the lines and understood we each had to embrace who we are but yet could still walk in the love and guidance of God. My best memory is of the guys in my class serenading her outside her office window. I don''t think I ever saw her smile so much! I will always have fond memories of her. I know that she is in peace and will be there when we all get up there with her welcoming smile!

Miss Fair was known for her non-stop pace and great energy. One time when I was a preteen, we all went Christmas caroling together & she wanted my brothers & I to ride in her car becasue she said she had a special place in her heart for boys. That moment gave me a view into her heart. She will be remembered for her faithful Christian service & love for Puerto Rico. Blessings to her family at this time.

Miss Fair is one of my "most unforgettable characters." As I sit here, thinking of her, one simple paragraph does not seem adequate to fully share her unique personality...a faithful friend, a challenging teacher (for me, Houghton College), a hardworking, caring director (Wesleyan Academy), a fellow teacher in the English dept. at Wesleyan and above all, a sweet Christian who daily practiced what she believed.  Goodbye, Miss Fair. Say hola to our Lord for us.  We''ll meet again in glory.
