Rona L. Howell

She was born April 29, 1931 in Spring Lake, New Jersey and came to this area 45 years ago from St. Petersburg, Florida.  She worked as a cashier at Publix and was a member of the American Legion, Eastern Star and Eden Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Wayne Howell, Sr.; son, Frank K. Howell; sister, Delores Day.  Survivors include her sons, Billy Wayne Howell, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida, Jurey Wilson Howell of St. Petersburg, Florida; daughters, Brenda Sue Cloud of Brooksville, Florida, Karen Ann Bishop of Brooksville, Florida, Donna Lee Cline of Weeki Wachee, Florida;  sister, Nira Frey of Margate, Florida; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 4:00-5:00pm, Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Merritt Funeral Home Brooksville Chapel, where Funeral Services will begin at 5:00pm, with Pastor Gary Burr officiating.
