The Lord gained a very kind and generous soul with his passing. In 1954 Ron joined the US Army, where upon retirement in 1982 he had been awarded a National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal (5th Award), Vietnam Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Oversea Service Bars, (2) Sharpshooter Qualification Badges (M-16), Drivers Badge, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation with Palm Army Service Ribbon. Ron was a man who cared so much about everyone that he served not only his family but his country with dedication and honor. He was such a compassionate and generous person whose giving nature was a true blessing. Ron had a great passion for cooking, bowling, fishing and providing for others. He was truly a selfless individual.
Ron is preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie, 1 brother and 2 sister's. He is survived by his wife, Sue Marsh of Spring Hill Florida; 3 children, Annette Maine (Bruce) of Goldendale, Washington, Angie Navarre (Mark) of Brooksville, Florida and Mark Marsh of Puyallup, Washington; 3 stepchildren, Michelle Mixell (John) of Plano Texas, Charles VanHorn (Michelle) of Greensburg, Pennsylvania and Gretchen (Jerome) of Irwin, Pennsylvania; sisters-in-law: Debbie Teed (Don) of Ocala, Florida and Barb Adams of Camphill, Florida; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Sue would like to share a meaningful quote: Just remember that every flower that bloomed had to go through a whole lot of dirt to get there. Ron was a beautiful blossom.
