BEVINS, Stephen J., age 80, of Brooksville, FL died Tuesday, September 16, 2014. He was born on June 21, 1934 in Ticonderoga, NY and came to the area 25 years ago. A resident of Hague, NY, he graduated from Hague Central School and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Predeceased by his son, Frank; brother, Ernest; and his parents, Stephen A. and Dorothy (Swinyer) Bevins; he is survived by his wife of 55 years: Verna Hayford Bevins: sons: Stephen, Oliver and Randolph; daughter: Angela Bevins Huett; brothers: Thor, Roger and Bruce; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be at 2:00pm, Saturday, September 27, 2014 at New Hope Baptist Church. Inurnment with military honors will follow at Community Baptist Church Cemetery.
