Born March 3, 1937 in Charleston, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Virginia P. Hypes Vance and Emil E. Hypes. Vic was the owner of Hypes Heating & Air from 1979-2001 and was a Korean War Veteran having served on the USS Salem.
He is survived by his loving wife: Charlotte Ann J. Hypes; daughter and son-in-law: Marsha & Danny Hopkins of Brooksville, Florida; sons and daughters-in-law: Dr. Jay E. Hypes & Beth Hypes of Blountsville, Alabama and Jeffery L. & Tonya Hypes of Brooksville, Florida; sisters: Nancy Gilmore and Shirley Fields of West Virginia; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Visitation for family and friends will take place from 10:00am-11:00am, Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Eden Baptist Church, where Funeral Services begin at 11:00am, with Reverend David Hope officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the VFW, Brooksville and Hospice.
