CARAWAY, Walter C., age 81 of Brooksville died Sat., Sept. 29, 2007 at Hernando Pasco Hospice House. Born in Knights, FL he moved to the area 52 years ago from Plant City, FL. He was Pastor for 33 years at Brooksville Church of God & Back to the Faith Church of God, US Army Air Borne Veteran of WWII, Evangelist all over Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama, and member of the American Legion Post 99. Survived by his wife: Opal; 4 sons & daughters-in-law: Curtis & Rudi Caraway of Palmetto, FL; W. Leslie Caraway, Kerry Caraway, and M. David & Kimberly Caraway all of Brooksville, FL; daughter & son-in-law: O. Renee & Ellwood Hunt of Orlando, FL; brother: Earl Caraway of Lake Placid, FL; 3 sisters: Juanita Warn of Plant City, FL; Frances Fulton of Nobleton, FL; and Sharron Lurch of Jacksonville, FL; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation for friends will be 6-8pm, Tues., Oct. 2, 2007 at Merritt Funeral Home Brooksville Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:00am, Wed., Oct. 3, 2007 at Word of Faith Church with Reverend Rufus Caraway officiating. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
