

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wiley Gary Carroll of Weeki Wachee, FL. Gary as he is known to family and friends was born in Temple, Georgia on February 16, 1947. He passed suddenly on December 29th, 2022 at the age of 75.
Gary was drafted into our United States Army at 19 years old. He served as an E-5 Sergeant in the Vietnam War. He received multiple awards, but most notable the Bronze Star Medal. After the Army he spent most of his career in the Life Insurance Industry. He retired in 2012 and was able to live on the water which he loved. Gary was able to indulge his passion of fishing, yard sales, and enjoyed his general R&R a lot of the time. He was a friend to all and enjoyed throwing big get-togethers while utilizing his skills on a BBQ Smoker. Gary's presence was larger than life. He certainly will be missed by all.
He is predeceased by his parents Troy Carroll and Bernice Mildred Parrish, his sister Nancy Carroll Smith and his brother Troy Gerald Carroll. Gary is survived by his wife of 20 years, Barbara Carroll and their two fur babies who he loved dearly Ariel and Bobo; brother in-law Steve Smith, step children Matthew Harvey, Dixie Lamoureux, and Amanda Robbins. His grandchildren Christopher Horne, Courtney Horne, Chloe Mason, Shayla Jones and Sylas Jones. His great granddaughter Kennedi Horne. His nephew Scotty Smith (Dusty), his niece Brandy Dickson (Heath) and his great nephews Jordan Phillips, Aidan Smith and Asher Smith.
Gary's Celebration of Life will be at his home June 17th, beginning at 5pm.
