

William (Bill) Michael Dora Jr., age 72, of Brooksville, Florida died unexpectedly but peacefully, on February 9th, 2026, at Bayonet Point Hospital, in Hudson, Florida, surrounded by his loving family.
William was born on December 5th, 1953, to the late William and Ramona Dora, at Providence Hospital, in Washington, D.C. He graduated from Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda MD and went on to get his B.S. degree in Computer Science, George Washington University.
Bill was well liked and known for his kind, caring and humorous personality, he had many talents and skills which helped many from all walks of life. If someone was in need he would always try to help. He was especially gifted in technology. He enjoyed connecting continents while working for Iron Man's World Triathlon Center, as Sr. Systems Network Engineer. He handled some of the biggest network contracts in both government and the private sector in the Washington, D.C. area. He never met a challenge in his field that he couldn't handle.
Bill also loved Martial Arts, he was a 5th degree blackbelt in Karate, studied Wing Chung under the Grand Master Sifu Duncan Leung. Sifu Kevin Fish, and the late Sifu James Cama. Bill had many loves including music and was an excellent guitarist who wrote, played and produced his own album "Lost in Paradise". Bill loved and cared for his many beloved pets, both domestic and farm animals. He also enjoyed riding his many Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was the best grandpa ever.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 29 years, Kristen Dora; his sister, Linda Elkanich and her husband, George of Phoenix, AZ; his children, Jessica Dora of Eureka, CA, Danica Dora of Nashville, TN, Eric Carruth of Brooksville, FL, Brandon Dora and partner Kathryn Franqui of Brooksville, FL, and Karissa Dora and her husband David Bellemore of Brooksville, FL; his grandchildren, Jaida and Ramona Dora-Dusel, Karman Greis-Carruth, Izaiah Cooper, Tristan Carruth, Nia Carruth and Eric Carruth Jr. He is also survived by his Father and Mother-in-law Tony DiMuzio and Bonnie DiMuzio; Brother and Sister-in-law Richard Carruth and Tracey Carruth; Sister-in-law Wendy Callaway; the David family; the Dora family; the Carruth family; the Callaway family; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be private per his request, and held at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville, Florida.
