William Thomas Eaton III

He was born July 4, 1940, in Jamacia Plain, Massachusetts to William Jr. and Marion (Barber) Eaton. William served in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. He worked as a photojournalist before retiring. William relocated to Florida in 1980 and was Catholic by faith. Some of his treasured accomplishments were: Past president of West Coast Professional Photographers; Past president of Florida Outdoor Writers Assignment; Hernando County Substitute Teacher; Member (life) and firearms instructor at Hernando Sportsmen’s Club, Inc; Outdoor Writer for Hernando, Citrus, and Pasco, St. Petersburg Times; and Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima and St. Cajetan Catholic Church.

William was preceded by his father: William Thomas Eaton Jr.; mother: Marion Eaton. He is survived by his beloved wife Carolyn S. Eaton of Spring Hill, Florida; and his sons and daughters-in-law: William Mark & Debra Eaton and Glenn Derrick & Marie Eaton.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am, Thursday, March 17, 2022 at St. Anthony the Abbot Catholic Church, Brooksville, Florida with Father Mikhail Kouts officiating.  Inurnment will follow at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
