Agnes M. Jones

Mrs. Jones was born in Brunswick, Georgia the daughter of Mildred Carolyn Bennett and the late George Latham Bennett. She was also a lifelong resident of Brunswick. She was the loving wife of the late Harry C. Jones for twenty years. They were blessed to have four children. In 1949, Harry and Agnes opened the Jones’ Live Bait store. The live bait store was a local success and will be part of the family’s legacy for years to come. Mrs. Jones attended the Sterling Church of God.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her father, George Latham Bennett; her devoted husband, Harry C. Jones Sr.; one grandson, Harry Jones, 111; three brothers, George, Ray, and Tommy “Grump” Bennett. She is survived by her mother Mildred Carolyn Bennett of Brunswick, GA; two daughters, Mildred Marilyn Jones of Atlanta, GA and June Ann Jones of Brunswick, GA; Two sons, Harry C. Jones, Jr. (Julie) of Waynesville, GA and William “Tom “Thomas Jones of Brunswick, GA; two grandsons, Brian Jones of Waynesville, GA, Dan Cenderelli of Atlanta, GA; one granddaughter, Holly C. Stone (Kevin) of Tennessee; Three sisters, Virginia Miller, Mary Ann Wasdin, and Sara Austin,all of Brunswick,GA: one brother, Jerry Bennett. She was blessed to have four great-grandchildren that survive. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Jones love to spend time with her family and friends. She also treasured the relationships that was created from the long time faithful customers of Jones’ Live Bait store. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family will have many fond memories to cherish for years to come.

The family will receive friends between the hours of 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home in Brunswick, Georgia. A funeral service to honor her life will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 29, 2016 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. The entombment will follow the funeral service in Palmetto Cemetery.
