Anthony "Tony" Diotisalvi

Anthony “Tony” Diotisalvi, 87, of Jekyll Island, GA passed away Tuesday December 20, 2011 at his residence. A memorial service will be held 10 am Thursday January 19, 2012 at the Jekyll Island United Methodist Church 503 Riverview Dr., Jekyll Island, GA 31527, with Father William Logsdon officiating.

Mr. Diotisalvi was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during the WWII Era. He was a native of Bridgeport, PA., born March 22, 1924 to the late Rocco Diotisalvi and the late Antoinette Pecairo Diotisalvi. He was a graduate of Bridgeport High School and Villanova University where he received his BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed by the Westinghouse Corporation for 36 years as a mechanical engineer working in various cities before moving to Glynn County in 1985. Mr. Diotisalvi was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Church. Mr. Diotisalvi enjoyed his favorite pastime playing golf.

In addition to Mr. Diotisalvi’s parents; he is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 41 years Emily Frattone Diotisalvi, his sister Teresa Maddonni, and his brother Vincent Diotisalvi.

Mr. Diotisalvi is survived by his sister Mary Arena of Kennett Square, PA; his brother R. Daniel DiSalvi of Willow Street, PA; his sister-in-law Dolores Frattone of King of Prussia, PA; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Charles and Jeannette Tornabene of Jekyll Island, GA; his friend and companion Rilla McGrain of Jekyll Island, GA and many loving nieces and nephews.
