Bonnie “Trent” Brock Cohen, 68, of Brunswick, Georgia, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, compassion, and unwavering love for both people and animals. Born in Kenansville, North Carolina, Trent lived a life defined by kindness, connection, and care for those around her.
A proud graduate of Brunswick High School, Trent became a beloved fixture in her community through her work as a barber at Shear Magic. For more than 30 years, her loyal clients returned not only for her skill, but for her welcoming spirit and genuine interest in their lives. She never met a stranger—only friends she hadn’t yet made.
Trent had an adventurous heart and a deep appreciation for the natural world. She was an avid scuba diver who found joy beneath the waves, and she held a special place in her heart for animals of all kinds. Known for her tireless efforts to care for human-less cats, she often worked to have them spayed or neutered, adopting many into her own home. Her compassion extended to every creature, great and small.
She will be remembered as a deeply loving person, whose generosity and warmth touched countless lives.
Trent is survived by her son, Russ Cohen; her sisters, Beth Brock (Jane Curtis) and Vernell White (Sammy); her nieces, Mary Beth Davis (Ben) and Katherine White (Andrew Pfeifer); her nephews, Ian Jones (Ale) and Colton Jones; her great-nephew, Carson Davis; her great-niece, Madeline Davis; her beloved pets; and many extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Jones, Mary Ellis Jones, and Robert McDonald Brock; her brother, Ellis Jones; and her sister, Kathy Lupo.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2pm on April 25, 2026 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home of Brunswick, GA.
Trent’s life was a testament to love in its purest form—freely given, deeply felt, and never forgotten. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
