She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on March 19, 1958. Carla had a career in the Glynn County School System. She had a passion for sewing and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Holcomb.
She is survived by her husband, Gibby Gibson; her son Jody Gibson and his wife Tiffany Gibson, her daughter, Candi Gibson; grandchildren, Maci Gibson, Parker Gibson, Dillon Brown and Austin Howe; her mother, Cleta Holcomb; one sister, Donna Holcomb; sister in laws, Faye Vaughn and Peggy Crosby; brother in law, Chuck Gibson and wife Teresa; her dearest friend, Beth Garcia, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
Friends and family may gather after the service for a celebration of life at 6300 Dover Bluff Road, Waverly, Georgia.
