

Mrs. Roberts was a native of Athens, Georgia and had been a resident of Brunswick since 1954. She was a graduate of Athens High School and was a graduate, Cum Laude, from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism. She was an Elementary Teacher in the Glynn County School System and a Kindergarten Teacher at Frederica Academy on St. Simons Island.
She was a member of the College Place United Methodist Church in Brunswick and the Fellowship Sunday School Class and the Disciple Bible Study series.
She was an avid fan and a lifelong supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carter William Daniel and Mary Alice Daniel and her two sisters, Dorothy Daniel McCullough and Tommie Daniel Gammon, her niece, Victoria Gammon Ballard and her step-son, Gary Maxwell Roberts.
Survivors are her husband, Clarence O. Roberts, of Brunswick, daughter, Carol Vandiviere Davis (Luther) of Washington, GA., a step-son, Jeffrey Roberts (Amanda) of Arlington, VA., and a step-daughter, Robin Roberts Thomason (Rocky) of Greenville, S.C., two grandchildren, Daniel Davis of Portsmith, VA. and Amanda Davis of Rochester, NY., three step-grandchildren, Bo Thomason, Drake Thomason both of Greenville, S.C. and Maxwell Roberts, of Arlington, VA., two nieces, Deborah Gammon Ford of Opelika, AL., and Dorry McCullough Lindsey of Eaton, CT., and a nephew, William Roderick Gammon of Loganville, GA.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2 PM Friday 4/29/11 in the College Place United Methodist Church in Brunswick with Rev. Rob Grotheer and Rev. Franklin Pierce officiating. Inurnment will be held in Oconee Hill Cemetery in Athens, GA. at a later date.
The Family will receive friends in the Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM Thursday.
The Family request contributions to the Hospice of the Golden Isles or the Alzheimer’s Association.
