Catherine Elaine Mauney

Catherine Elaine Mauney, 57, of Brunswick, Georgia passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021. Catherine was born in Rome, Georgia the daughter of the late Franklin Freesilver White and the late Cloveine Harris White.

Catherine resided in Brunswick most of her life and was of the Baptist faith. She attended Everett City Baptist Church. She was an outgoing lady that never met a stranger. Her family was her life and her children were always the center of her attention. She loved to spend time on the Altamaha River and playing the guitar. She had a love for music and had a beautiful voice. She also enjoyed dancing. She was loved by everybody that knew her and will be greatly missed by everyone.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Joshua and Katie Mauney and Joseph and Kayla Mauney; also five precious grandchildren, Isaiah, Elijah, Noah, Allen, and Lindsay; also her spouse, Jerry Taylor; six siblings, Rose Mary Nicklaus, Wanda Faye James, Audrey Ann Bliss, Riley Franklin White, Reva Lynn White, Thelma Irene Sellers, and Melinda Folsom. Several; nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held between 6 – 8:00 PM Friday in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service to celebrate Catherine’s life will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Emily Rewis officiating. The burial will follow the service in Evergreen Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be Jake Taylor, Heath Griffin, Danny Wise, Buddy Wise Jr, Bryant Petty, Ricky Watkins, and Michael Bliss.
