Cornelia “Pat” Lang Aycock, 96, of Brunswick, Georgia entered peacefully to the arms of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Hospice of Golden Isles. She was born January 4, 1926, in Lizella, Georgia, the daughter of the late William Warren Lang and Ruth L. Copeland Lang; she was also preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, George B. Aycock; and a son, Lewis D. Aycock.
Pat, as she was affectionately known, married George B. Aycock, in 1949 and was married for 43 years, before his passing. She was a retired Agent for 24 years with the Federal Internal Revenue Service. Pat was a loving, caring, compassionate, Christian, lady. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to cook, and was a social butterfly that never met a stranger. Pat was a member of First Baptist Church, Brunswick, Ga and also sang in the choir for many years.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nancy Cox (John), son Joel F. Aycock (Susan), son, Bill Aycock (Vickie), daughter-in-law Melinda Aycock; grandchildren, Trisha Reeves (Chip), Abigail and Daniel Aycock, Joseph and Michele Aycock; great grandchildren, Brandon and Justin Reeves.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 27th, from 3-5:00 PM in the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service to honor her life will be held at Palmetto Cemetery on Monday, February 28th at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jim Crandall, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Golden Isles or First Baptist Church, Brunswick, GA.
