

David Allen Hoch, 40, of Brunswick, passed away peacefully at Savannah Memorial on Saturday, August 17, 2024, after a Traumatic Brain Injury. His organs and tissues were able to be received by numerous recipients through Lifelink.org.
David was born in Brunswick, GA, to Donald and Deena Meeks Hoch, on November 12, 1983. David was a lively young man with many talents and interests. As a youth, he participated in gymnastics where he excelled on the vault and floor. Didn’t take much to get David to do a backflip on site. He was involved in soccer, wrestling and baseball. David’s talents included a beautiful voice and feet to match. David was invited to sing and dance in Carnegie Hall, NY, as a member of his high school show choir, West Side Highschool, Macon, GA.
David was a Big Georgia Fan and love watching games with friends and family. He was a boy scout and was a member of the Order of the Arrow. He liked to fish, hike and camp. He was able to live in many places in Georgia with Unicoi State Park being his favorite and even spent 5 years in Washington State. David also loved to travel abroad and was able to go to China and Italy. The greatest joy in David’s life was his friends and family. He never met a stranger and was kind, compassionate and cared about everyone. David was the epitome of a gentleman and was loved by many.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elvin and Louise Hoch and Grady and Carol Meeks.
Surviving are; his parents, Don and Deena Meeks Hoch, his sister Diana and brother in law, Austen, and niece Charlotte, his aunt, Carol Diann Meeks of St. Simons Island, and his Uncle, Steve (Brenda) Meeks of Brunswick, his Uncle, Larry Hoch and his Uncle, Russell Hoch both of California, his great Aunts, Dr. Jane Thompson from Darien and Pat Thompson of Statesboro. Numerous cousins include Holly Hoch, Switzerland, Melanie Hall (Dustin and Braxton, Alyssa), Caroline Thompson, daughter, Olivia. David was loved and respected by many people and his Walmart family.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Edo Miller Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
