Dorcas Norris Campbell

Dorcas was a life long native of Brunswick, GA. She is the daughter of the late William Henry and Myrtle Swift Norris. She graduated from Glynn Academy in 1944. She was married to the late Charlie Eugene Campbell for 33 loving years. Dorcas enjoyed life, gardening and spending time with family and friends. She worked for the County of Glynn in the Tax Commissioner's Office, Clerk of State Court and The Board of Elections and retired in April 2005.

Dorcas is survived by her son, William Norris Campbell of Glynn County, two daughters, Judy Campbell Cousino, stationed in Houston, TX and Terri Campbell Thomas of Brunswick. She also has six grandchildren, Brian Allen Campbell of Brantley County, Leigh Ann Campbell of Philadelphia, Amanda Courtney Thomas and Marissa Lynn Thomas of Atlanta, Gene Andrew Thomas and Jenna Lea Thomas of Brunswick. Her daughter-in-law, Rosalyn Campbell and son-in-law Kevin Cousino, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Revered Fred Earl Wages officiating. Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Brian Campbell, Larry James, Gene Thomas, Jeff Wages, William Russell Campbell and Gary Wayne Campbell.

Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Cecil Little.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of choice.
