Doris Lupo Robinson

Doris was born March 18, 1927 in Claxton, Ga. to the late Rosalie and James Lupo. She was preceded in death by her first husband Roland L. "Buzzy" Daniel, her second husband Luther O. Robinson, sisters Miriam K. Smith, Rosalind S. Westmoreland, grandson Jay Robinson, and daughter-in-law Tyler H. Daniel. She is survived by children Roland L. Daniel (Paige), Marsha D. Hendrix (Boomer), John Bird Daniel (Elizabeth), Stan R. Robinson (Jennifer), all of St. Simons Island; Hugh L. Robinson of Shellman Bluff, and Mildred D. Moore (Randy) of Evans, Ga. Doris was "Mema" to her grandchildren John Wallace Daniel of Forest Grove, OR, Anne Daniel of Portland, OR, Erin Daniel of Philo, CA, Callie Daniel of Van Nuys, CA, Nick Robinson of Augusta, GA, Madden Robinson, John Porter Robinson, Stiles Robinson, and Harlow Robinson, all of St. Simons, and her special caregiver Deanna Cuyler. She is also survived by loving and cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Doris moved to St. Simons in 2010 to live with her children after living in Waynesboro, Ga. for over 50 years. She never lost her love for her friends in Burke County or her church family in Waynesboro.

A visitation with the family will be held in the Thorpe Building at St. Simons United Methodist Church from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec.30, 2017. A memorial service for Doris will be held at First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro, Georgia at a later date.
