

Edwin “Eddie” G. Webster, 76, of Brunswick, GA passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Southeast Georgia Health System. A native of Alfred, NY, Mr. Webster had been a resident of Glynn County for the past 54 years. He was the son of the late Gaylord Webster and the late Addie Baham Webster. Mr. Webster served three years in the United States Navy. He was employed by Webster Tile Company. Mr. Webster attended First Wesleyan Church where he served as Church Custodian, usher and a past Youth Group Leader. Mr. Webster enjoyed gardening, taking care of and helping others. He also enjoyed chaperoning and volunteering with the Brunswick High NJROTC. His greatest pleasure in life was spending time with his beautiful wife of 52 years, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Webster was preceded in death by His son Edwin G. Webster II.
Survivors include his wife Martha “Betty” Webster of Brunswick, GA; his four daughters, Beverly A. Webster, Sherry Webster Sanchez, Karen E. Lewis all of Brunswick, GA and Teresa “Terri” Mistretta of Powder Springs, GA.; two sisters Loretta Conderman (Steve) of Scio, NY, and Roberta Drake of Hornell, NY; one brother Alfred Baham (Jean) of Angelica, NY; 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 19, 2010 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the First Wesleyan Church in Brunswick with Reverend Phil Harrington officiating. Internment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery in Brunswick, with military honors.
Serving as active pallbearers are John Logan, Gabriel Mistretta, William Cartagena, Danny Webster, David Webster, Wayne Thigpen, Bobby Cawthorne, and Lyle Attaway.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. William Grubb, Dr. Darrell Daniel, Dr. David Sudduth, and the First Wesleyan Adult Sunday School Class.
