Eleanor Ruth Todd

Eleanor Ruth Todd, 86, of Brunswick, departed this life, Friday, December 16, 2016 at Hospice of The Golden Isles. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at First Baptist Church St. Simons Island, with Rev. Felix Haynes and Rev. Tony Lankford officiating. Interment will follow at 3PM in Pinecrest Cemetery in Vidalia with Billy R. Gibson officiating. Josh Melton, Jake Melton, Matthew Smith, Chuck Strickland, Matthew McKenzie, and John Kopotic will serve as pallbearers.

Born March 20, 1930 in Leesburg, Florida to the late Carlis C. and Lucille Margaret T. Scott, she was a 1948 graduate of St. Petersburg High School in Pinellas County, Florida. Mrs. Todd was retired from Sea Island as a cosmetologist and seamstress. She was a member of The Egg Guild of Georgia, and the Grandmothers Club of Dawsonville, Georgia. Mrs. Todd was an all-around artist bringing beauty to anything she worked with. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles H. Todd.

Survivors include four children, Lester Scott Todd and wife Diane of Escondido, CA, Margaret Ann Melton and husband Bryan of Dawsonville, GA, David Holt Todd of St. Simons Island, and Audrey Sue Carter and husband Morris of Hortense,GA, 10 grandchildren, Clay (Tabitha)Todd, David Todd, Beth Todd, Joshua (Faith) Melton, Sarah (Matthew) Smith, Jacob Melton, Lee Todd, Carla Todd, Catherine Davis, and Charlee Carter, 7 great grandchildren, Carson, Conner, Casey, and Camden Todd, Wyatt Clark, Paisleigh Stephens, and Evelyne Todd, and a sister, Clara Sue Blaser of Seminole, FL.

The family will receive friends Monday evening December 19, 2016 from 6PM until 8 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
