Eric Brian Lanier

Eric was born March 8, 1963 in Jesup, Georgia the son of the late Henry Arnold Lanier and the late Mollie Lee Lanier. He was a truck driver with Allied Universal. He was a devoted father and grandfather. Eric was a devoted member of Hortense Church of God of Prophecy. He was also a God fearing man and stood firm in his faith. He was always willing to attend any of the events his church held.

Eric was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Arnold and Mollie Lee Lanier. He is survived by loving daughter, Patricia Remer (Joshua); his only son, Brian Lanier (Hannah Johns); his precious grandchild, Joshua Remer, Jr.; the mother of his children, Sue Hatton; his fiancé Alana Storey McCarty; his brothers and sisters, Linda Chitty, Rita Duncan, Glenda Miller Annette Coulson (John), Cutis Lanier (Kathryn), and Lance Lanier (Melissa). Several nieces and Nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Hortense Cemetery. Memorial Services to honor his life will be conducted at One Life At A Time Ministries, 6314 Highway 32 East, Hortense, Georgia 31543 following the interment. Reverend Jimmy Davis will be officiating the services.

Active Pallbearers will be Willie Lane, Bobby Lane, Caleb Lane, Jimmy Hatton, Josh Remer, Jay Yarborough, Jason Yarborough, Bruce Dutton, Andy Chitty, and Jeffery McCarty.

Eric loved to spend time with his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and collecting pictures of eagles. He also enjoyed tractors and attending sports events. Eric will be truly missed by his family and friends. His family will have many fond memories to cherish for years to come.
