Eulene B. Smith

Eulene B. Smith, of Brunswick, Ga., passed away, Thursday, August 25, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016 at the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, with Reverend Darrell Joiner officiating, with Mr. Carl Alexander assisting. Interment will follow 5 p.m. at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Alma, Ga.

Family will receive friends 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers are Henry Taylor, Donnie O’Quinn, Jimmy Mancil, Peter Witts, Gary Lee, Jr., Al Boatright, Neal Boatright, T-Boy Carter.

Honorary pallbearers are Michael Curtis, Stephen Curtis, Greg Boatright, Jamie Dixon, Nick Lee, Chad Boatright, Jay Boatright, Greg Woodcock, James Flowers, three caregivers: Tracy Hutcherson, Carrie Smith, and Barbara Campbell.

Mrs. Smith is a graduate of Bacon County High School, born Feb. 21, 1936 in Alma, Ga., daughter of the late Hubert Boatright, and the late Ann Belle Steedley Boatright. She had been a resident of Glynn County since 1961. Mrs. Smith was the co-founder of Rick’s Supermarket, Kash Gas, and a member of Glyndale Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, fishing, gardening, mowing grass, burning leaves, and more fishing.

Survivors include Mrs. Smith’s daughter: Margie L. Smith; two sons: Rick O. Smith (Terri), and Wayne H. Smith (Isme Pestana); three grandchildren: Nikki Lee, Cierra N. Smith, and Carley M. Smith all of Brunswick, Ga; three sisters: Thelma Carter, Joyce Rowland, and Jenny Taylor all of Alma, Ga; one brother: Winston Boatright of Brunswick, Georgia; and many other family members.

She is predeceased by her husband of 31 years: Olin Smith; three sisters: Melba Dixon, Jean Lee, and Beverly Boatright; three brothers: Wendell Boatright, Royce Boatright, and Huelon Boatright.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, Ga 31525 or Wesley Chapel Cemetery Fund 511 Douglas Street, Alma, Ga 31510.
