Faye H. Barber

Faye H. Barber, 77, of Brunswick, departed this life Friday, November 17, 2017 at SGHS Glynn. Memorial services will be held at 7PM Tuesday evening, November 21, 2017 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Geary officiating.

Born November 1, 1940 in Donalsonville, Georgia to the late John A. and Ethel A. Howell, she was Graduate from Valdosta State University with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. She worked as an Executive Secretary for Thiokol Corporation. She also worked at Brunswick Junior College as the Comptroller, and retired from Southern Tech as Vice President of Business Affairs. She had been a resident of Glynn County since 1963 and was a member of First Baptist Church of Brunswick, and The Kiwanis Club. She was an avid reader, member of The Book Club, and enjoyed playing bridge.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, David C. Barber of Brunswick, two sons, Michael Barber and wife Sandra, and Charles Barber and wife Christi, all of Brunswick, six grandchildren, Leigh Barber, Sheldon Barber, Wyatt Stewart, Reese Barber, Mark Hamilton, and Michael Hamilton, a great grandchild, Teagan Hamilton, a sister, Sandra Howell of Brunswick, two brothers, Don Wade Howell of Iron City, GA, and Louis Arnold Howell of Watkinsville, GA, two nephews, Jamie Howell and Justin Howell and a niece, Beth Howell.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6PM until 7PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
