Born September 18, 1943 in Austell, Georgia to the late Howard J. and Mary Etta M. Brown, he was a graduate of Georgia Military Academy and attended Georgia State University. Mr. Brown retired as vice president of Heely Brown Company. He was a member of Haygood Methodist Church and attended Wieuca Road Baptist Church for many years. Mr. Brown was an avid reader and especially enjoyed The Wall Street Journal and business magazines. He also enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an aunt, Lucy Goodpasture.
Survivors include his wife Brenda Taylor Brown of Brunswick, a son Michael Christopher Brown and wife Christine of Swampscott, MA, a daughter, Mary Kathryn Brown Coppola and husband Chris of Brunswick, five grandchildren, Aidan Brown, Beckett Brown, Caroline Brown, Vincent Coppola, and Sofia Coppola, a brother William “Bill” H. Brown of Atlanta and several nieces and nephews.
