Frances Gail Dixon 78, of Waverly, departed this life Sunday September 28, 2025 at SGHS Brunswick Campus. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at First Baptist Church Brunswick with Dr. Chris Windford and Pastor Darrell Joiner officiating. Interment will follow in Bristol Baptist Church Cemetery, in Pierce County. Brad Brown, James Dixon, Eli Dixon, Byron Bennett, Handi Jernigan and Joe Smith will serve as pallbearers.
Born April 29, 1947 in Savannah, Georgia to the late James D. and Frances Jewell Risher, she was a graduate of Savannah High School Class of 1965. She worked as a sales associate with Belk Department Store and was a member of First Baptist Church Brunswick. She enjoyed travel, sightseeing and nature.
Survivors include her husband, Jeff Dixon of Waverly, a stepson, James Dixon of Blackshear, and a brother, James D. Risher of Fort Myers, FL.
The family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 10 am until the funeral hour at First Baptist Church Brunswick.
