

Gregory Randolph “Randy” Nazzrie, 67, entered eternal rest on Sunday, the 23rd of July 2017. A native of Lakeland, Florida, he had been a resident of Glynn County for most of his life. Born the 3rd of October 1949 he was the son of the late Mary Alice Sumner Nazzrie and the late James Randolph Nazzrie. Randy attended Glynn Academy and Brunswick Junior College. He was a Vietnam Veteran and was awarded numerous medals. He was a carpenter with the local union until 1975 when he went to work at FLETC. Randy traveled to various locations for training for FLETC. He was a project manager in the Facilities Department at FLETC, from which he retired in 2006. Randy was a member of Ocean Lodge F&AM #214, where he was a past Master. He was awarded the first silver medal given by Homeland Security.
Survivors include his spouse Beth Nazzrie of Brunswick, GA; his two sons Lance Nazzrie (Julie) and Jeremy Nazzrie both of Brunswick, GA; his two granddaughters Destiny Ann Nazzrie and her mother Nancy Anderson of Brunswick, GA and Shy-Ann Wyrosdick of Valley, AL; his great granddaughter Belle Wyrosdick of Valley, AL; his two sisters Lois Mason of Brunswick, GA and Linda Holladay and husband Ben of Brantley County, GA; his brother Jimmy Nazzrie and wife Rhetta of Brunswick, GA and many nieces and nephews.
Randy leaves many friends, but especially his “Brothers of other mothers” Jimmie Hutcheson, Jan McDaniel, and Butch Bishop.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the graveside service Thursday the 27th of July 2017 from 10:00 AM-10:50 AM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be Thursday the 27th of July 2017 at 11:00 AM at Palmetto Cemetery with military honors and masonic rites.
