Henry Robert "Bob" McKenzie, Sr.

Henry Robert “Bob” McKenzie, Sr., 82, of Brunswick, passed away Friday, November 1, 2013 at his residence. Bob was born September 19, 1931 to the late Henry and Mary McKenzie in Baxley, Georgia. Bob was of the Christian faith, loved to fish and go bowling and was a carpenter by trade. He especially loved music; playing the guitar and singing.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother: Mack McKenzie.

He is survived by his loving wife: Mary D. McKenzie of Brunswick; his daughter: Barbara Hand (Harold) of Brunswick; three sons: Robert McKenzie, Donald McKenzie of Brunswick and Gary McKenzie (Theresa) of Jacksonville, FL; 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, one brother: Dorris E. McKenzie (Spooky) and his sister: Johnnie Ruth Wilson.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at 10 AM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at 11 AM with Rev. W.C. Beasley officiating. Burial will follow at Palmetto Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Gary McKenzie, Robbie McKenzie, Keith Hand, Ray Potter, Rickey Potter and Ivan Reddick. Honorary pallbearers include: James C. West, Aaron McKenzie and the Hospice of the Golden Isles of Brunswick Staff.
